Yarn Dyed Cotton Dobby Grey
A medium-weight yarn-dyed cotton, this fabric is covered by an interlocking diamond-like pattern. As this is a dobby weave, the grey and off-white yarn used means the fabric has a different colour on either side. The reverse side is perfect for use as a highlight in garments.
What is Dobby Weave?
A dobby weave is a type of weaving structure that creates small geometric patterns on fabric. It is named after the dobby loom, which was invented in France in the early 19th century by Joseph-Marie Jacquard. The dobby loom uses a mechanism called a “dobby head” to lift and lower warp threads individually, allowing for intricate patterns to be woven.
