Hand Dyed Yarn (Exclusive)
Available: 3 In Stock
A luxurious soft base, this fingering weight yarn lends itself perfectly to accessories, shawls and delicate garments. With lovely stitch definition it can also be held double (knit with two strands together) for patterns that call for a heavier weight yarn.
Milled in Peru, this merino blend is mulesing free and superwash treated in the UK to the highest environmental standards possible. The Yak fibre gives a natural grey colour to this base and the silk shows a beautiful depth of colour when dyed. A Maker's Burrow (website / Instagram) yarn is hand dyed in small batches in Victoria, Australia.
Each hand dyed skein is completely individual and will differ even from it's mate that has been dyed at the same time in the same pot. It is recommended that you alternate skeins if you are planning on using more than one of the same colour to avoid colour pooling and to help with blending. Helical knitting is a great way to do this, please see this tutorial by lolodidit.
