Thinking of warmer weather

Are you looking forward to the warmer weather? Maybe you are thinking about updating your wardrobe in readiness?  Our new seasons fabrics have started to arrive, and may inspire you.

Cotton sateen with a little bit of stretch is a popular fabric amongst sewers, as it is easy to sew and easy to wear. We have a range of printed stretch cotton sateen fabrics, as well as a few plains, which can be used to co-ordinate with the printed if desired.

In the printed range, we have 'Windflower', a gorgeous floral print in two colours, Blueberry and Safari. (Note: click on the links to see images of the fabrics). 'Byron Bay' is a multi-coloured floral on a creamy background. Or 'Everclear', a lovely teal floral on a white background and 'Twilight' a navy and white floral (shown below).

If more geometric prints are of interest, you will find  'Slipstream', an abstract geometric in striking green/pink/purple colourings, and 'Terabithia', a very structured print in navy and white with smatterings of orange.

Perfect for dresses, they would all look good in some of these patterns - Burda 6627, or 6807, Simplicity 1277, or 1357.  Also great for tops, skirts and pants.

The plains are in black, red (which can work with Byron Bay), navy (to work with Twilight and Windflower) and a teal (which will work with Everclear). Or use them on their own in pants, skirts or dresses.

We also have a growing collection of printed and plain Japanese cottons. These include floral or spotted medium weight chambrays and indigo printed cottons. The plains are skirt/pants weight fabrics and include coloured denim-like fabrics.

Maybe you have seen something of interest?

More stock will be arriving over the coming weeks, as we move further into spring.
