Are you new to sewing? Or want to go back and start from the basics to build your confidence to return to sewing? Then these workshops are for you.
These four hour workshops will be run over two Saturdays. The first workshop will cover a range of basic techniques, including different seams and seam finishes, and sewing curves. A basic item like a bag or cushion cover will be made to incorporate a number of these techniques.
In the second workshop you will make a simple garment, of your choice, incorporating and consolidating the techniques learnt. This will be discussed with the tutor at the end of the first workshop. You will be assisted in your choice of garment, and advice will be provided on the fabric requirements.
At booking you will be asked to complete a pre-class questionnaire, so that we can tailor the workshop around individual needs. We will email this to you.
